Secretary’s and sister-in-law’s first visit to Sahlgrenska

Today was our first visit to Sahlgrenska. Jakob was there when we came, helping Håkan with his dinner, so we arrived just in time for dessert, with rhubarb pie and coffee! The nurse asked if we were having a party, and we answered that we were celebrating Håkan’s “name day”, two days late. We had a fantastic visit with Håkan. He was alert and on the ball. He even asked me if I (Jan) had any questions for him, just like he usually asks. I answered, “Yes, a bunch of them, but we can save them for later!”

Lotta read from Håkan’s favorite prayer book, among other things, Psalm 118 – it fit perfectly! When Håkan started getting tired, we finished our visit with prayer, and took Jakob with us back to Uddevalla.

Håkan asked for prayer tomorrow morning at 8:30 am, when they will operate on his other eyelid, with only a local anesthetic. Pray that everything goes well and heals nicely.

“The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” Ps. 118:16-17
