Delightful words… “The situation is calm and stable…”

What a difference from “The situation is stable, but critical…”

Mohammed has been with Dad 3 days in a row this week. He read the “guest book” – a book which everyone who visits Håkan can write in – for Håkan, so that he’d be aware of all the visits he had during the time he was sedated.

Mohammed said that Håkan was present, conscious, and could remember. When he was about to go, Håkan moved his lips and said, ”Greet the others.” Mohammed’s comment was, “This is going well. The face is healing well. Even I am proud of Håkan.”

The staff says that it is calm and stable. Håkan has bathed, and is redressed. He nods, but is tired after the redressing of his bandages. It’s healing well on his stomach and legs, and also his hands.

Yesterday, Johanna, Josefina and Rebecca were with Dad. They made good contact with him. There was so much Håkan wanted to say, but they understood most of it. He even wanted to go home with them – not bad.

Today, on Good Friday, Håkan has been able to taste soda water. They were going to give him a little tea, the English way. Now they will also reduce the medications, so it will be even easier to make contact.

This was the first time Håkan has missed the Passion Play in Uddevalla’s square. Today was a new audience record – about 2000 people – who watched as Jesus died and rose again, for the 7th year in a row. Cool!

When I told Håkan that Johanna would play Mary Magdalene again this year, he mouthed, ”Good.” I said, “This year you’ll have to pray for the Passion Play from here,” and Håkan nodded consciously. (See http://bohuslaningen.se/nyheter/uddevalla/1.436856, and click on the picture to see more pictures. See Johanna in picture number 3.)

Thank you that what Jesus did 2000 years ago, is giving strength, life, and health for Håkan, and all of us who need it, today…

”Jesus’ resurrection life in the present!”

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever…” Heb.13:8

Thank you for being there, and standing with us in prayer for Håkan. We wish you all a really good and happy Easter!

God bless you all!

Hugs,
Gunilla

    "How great is our God
Sing with me,How great is our God
How great, how great is our God
