The thirty-eighth day

Report from the hospital

The situation is still stable. Håkan is conscious and can respond with nods when spoken to. They’ve had him sitting up in bed to get his lungs going, although he will continue to have a respirator for awhile. The respirator makes it so he can’t talk. The skin is healing well on his legs and stomach, but not so well on his back, which he’s been lying on.

Pray for:
- The lungs to function.
- The healing of his back.

”Jesus, we thank you that your resurrection power is at work in Håkan, and that he can feel your presence in those times when he is awake.”

  6. Dear Hakan,Gunilla and family,

I have just returned from singing in our church choir for Easter Sunday services. As our church choir of just 22 sang "Worthy is the Lamb" and the "Amen Chorus" from Handel's Messiah, you were all there with me. God bless each of you this Easter.

The weather is glorious today in Virginia, with the beautiful blossoms of Spring. Hakan, may God continue to heal you and may your health blossom into full recovery. Your story has touched the hearts of so many. Gunilla, be strong in Christ and thank you for your precious updates on your blog site.

    In His love, Sue Bessette
