The fiftieth day

Report from the hospital

Today is the fiftieth day, and every day so far has been a step forward for Håkan. We are so thankful.

Håkan’s sister called me as usual at lunchtime, after she had spoken with the hospital. She said that today’s operations had gone well so far. They were still operating. They had transplanted skin from Håkan’s leg to his head and hands, and other skin to his back and feet. This was a big operation, but they wanted to do as much as possible at once, so they wouldn’t have to operate so many different times.

We’ll get another report later this afternoon, after the operation is finished.

We thank God for the capable staff, and pray that the fiftieth day will be a ”day of jubilee” for Håkan – the beginning of a new time, just like the year of jubilee was for the children of Israel.

- Pray for healing and new strength for Håkan after the operation.
- Pray that no infection sets in.

  1. Dear Hakan, Gunilla & family,
Our church will be spending a special time in prayer for Hakan and the family tomorrow night. We will play the Blessing video during our time of prayer. Thank you for making it available -- it is so powerful and touching. Please know we love and care about Hakan and all of you!

    With love,
Don & Cheri' White & the church in Omaha, NE
