Friday’s report

Yesterday we drove to Jönköping, so we could easily go on to Linköping this morning. We got to the hospital just in time to meet Marie, the counselor for the burn unit where Håkan is.

We – Jakob, Amelie, Gabriella, Daniel and I – had a nice, long conversation with Marie, before we were shown a room like Håkan’s. Nurse Agneta also spoke with us, more about the pathological picture.

Håkan was sedated again, since they were going to operate on him. We got to go in and see Håkan through the window. Amelie and I went first; we stood and cried together.

Jakob, Bella and Daniel went to the window together, and looked into the room where their dad was lying. That was enough for us today.

Tomorrow Håkan’s brother, PG, and his wife, and Håkan’s sister, Margareta, will drive up to see Håkan.

On Sunday it is our turn again. Then he should be more awake, and the kids will be more prepared to go in and see their dad.

The situation is stable. Håkan has gone into a new phase, as they say, so now if he can just keep free from infections, it’ll get better and better, day after day, but he has a long way to go, so please stand with us in prayer.

Thank you for all support…

God bless you!!

Hugs
Gunilla
