An important appeal!!!

Dear friends in Uddevalla, Bohuslän, Dalsland, Värmland and the rest of Sweden...

Dear friends in Scandinavia…and all over Europe…

Friends all over the world…Africa, Asia, Australia and America…

An important appeal… Tomorrow, Tuesday, Håkan will be operated on. The surgeon will come in the morning and decide what they will operate on. It will be a tough day for Håkan. He’ll be under anesthesia, of course, but it’ll be very taxing for him anyway.

The areas that need surgery are his hands, feet, back and the crown of his head. Tomorrow they will decide where they will start and what is the most important. This will most likely be the largest operation for Håkan – they will operate as much as they can.

Jakob, our 20-year-old son, is with Håkan today and overnight. They’ve had a nice day together, and Håkan has had several clear moments.

After the operation, it’ll take time for Håkan to wake up.

On Friday, Mohammed, our 21-year-old son, will travel up to Håkan and be there a few days. Our 23-year-old daughter, Josefina, will go there on Saturday, and stay until Sunday. Pray also for all of our children, who are each, in their own way, present and giving their support in this situation.

”…Everything rests in my Father’s hands. Should I then, as a child, be alarmed, he who bears for me the heart of a father gives for each new day its due share of joy and pain, toil, rest and pleasure.”

We are so thankful for all who are with us, think about us, pray for us and are taking care of us. Thank you all old and new friends.

God bless you all!
Hugs,
Gunilla

  1. Dear Hakan, Gunilla, & family,
Thank you so much for keeping us up-to-date with Hakan's progress, for making it easy to check on him and your family, to know how you are doing, to know how to pray. We are thankful, along with you, for the many miracles God is doing in Hakan's life - in the ways that He is healing him, in his ability to communicate, to see, in the way the Body of Christ is coming together on his behalf . . . We continue to lift all of you up in our prayers, and to rejoice with you.
    With love,
Pat & Theresa Forbes & the church in Mankato, MN, USA

  2. Dear Hakan, Gunilla & family,
We just want you to know we, as a church in Omaha, are lifting Hakan up in prayer every day. We send daily emails to let the church know how to pray, and we tell them of this blog which is so helpful in knowing how to pray for him and all of you.

Please let Hakan know he is very dear to us here and that we are praying for him and for all of you as well! Though we haven't met you Gunnilla, we feel as if we know you because Hakan told us about you when he was here.

We will continue to pray for you and are so thankful to see God's hand moving and helping him heal, and see and understand what's going on.

    With love,
Don & Cheri White & the church in Omaha, NE, USA
